Seasonal Flu Vaccine Now Available Countrywide
The seasonal flu vaccine is now available for children between six months to two years old. Late this evening, the Ministry of Health issued a release to say that pregnant women, healthcare providers, persons over sixty-five years as well as persons living with chronic heart or lung diseases and diabetes should also get vaccinated. The seasonal influenza vaccine helps to prevent the flu or reduce the severity of the illness. But it does come with side effects, which may include slight fever, muscle pain for a few days and soreness around the injection site. The release ends by saying that the vaccine is available at all public health centres across the country, free of cost. Even if you were vaccinated in 2018, you should do so on an annual basis.
