Belize Still Free of COVID-19
As COVID-19 makes its way across borders and into countries, here in Belize, the Ministry of Health continues to monitor the situation. There are no confirmed cases of the virus in Belize. The ministry says, however, that some persons are in isolation as precautionary safety measure after it was learnt that these persons were in a country where COVID-19 has been transmitted from person to person. So far, none of the persons have shown any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or any other flu symptom. In order to reduce the risk of transmission, the ministry is encouraging individuals to wash their hands and cover their mouths when coughing and sneezing. The ministry is also advising to avoid close contact with persons who have flu-like symptoms.
