Sanitizing San Pedro

Meanwhile, in San Pedro Town, the business community has partnered with the San Pedro Tour Operators Association to sanitize public areas. With the approval and supervision of the Ministry of Health, water mixed with Clorox is being used to wash certain spots around the town.  The initiative began today and Chairman of the Association, Roberto Canul says that the overall objective is to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

“We decided that we were going to do a mix of ninety percent water; ten percent bleach and that would help in sanitizer the public areas. We did start today. We ventured out to start at around ten thirty when the stores were closed. We went out and did it today. It took us about three hours to do the whole town. It is all being donated to us and the outreach of the community has been very supportive to his cause and have been calling us to see how they can help. One day we consumed a total of five hundred gallons of water and we mixed that with bleach at ten percent, the fifty gallons of bleach that is required for everything that we will be going out and doing , the spraying. The community has been very supportive with that and coming on board and donating the bleach.”
