At the top of the newscast, Chandra Cansino of the Social Security Board spoke on ways to submit claims and the extension of submission timelines for sickness benefits. Another matter discussed during her appearance on the ‘Ask the Experts’ webcast, was the matter of employers’ contribution payments. Cansino says that they have made arrangements to address this.

“We also have in place what we call the waiver for the contributor’s payments and that is an incentive for employers who may also be experiencing cash flow issues at this time. Where we are allowing employers to submit a declaration of their contributions but holding the payment of the FEN15E – holding the payment of that declaration until further notice. So, at that time they would be able to make a little repayment arrangement without penalties being invoked on them as well. So, that is effective for the month of March and the month of April.”
