List of Businesses Allowed to Operate from Monday to Saturday
The Attorney General also outlined the list of businesses that are allowed to operate during different schedules. As you’ll recall, food mills, sugar, citrus and port operations as well as utilities are allowed to operate for twenty-four hours, but employees of these sectors are not allowed to be in public during curfew hours. Here’s a list of the sectors and services that are allowed to operate from Monday to Saturday.

“From five to seven, fuel stations, fuel depots, LPG suppliers, LPS depots and LPG distributors; gas stations, butane – five a.m. to seven p.m. Agro-processors, food and carbonated and other beverage manufacturers – these are allowed to open from five to seven p.m. However, only the agro-processors and food manufactures are allowed to operate for a period of fourteen days from the commencement of these regulations which was last week. Agricultural and aquaculture farms; shrimp farms; tilapia farms; different types of agricultural farms; fishers – and when we say fishers, sport fishing– we mean fishermen who fish for a living – those are the people who are allowed to operate between five a.m. and seven p.m. Waste disposal and sanitation companies – five to seven; public transportation providers from five to seven – but remember no public transportation is allowed to operate for the next fourteen days except for taxis but you can’t operate from a taxi stand. Five a.m. to four p.m., bakeries, tortilla factories; six a.m. to four p.m. – markets, agricultural produce fish and meats from six to four p.m. Eight a.m. to seven p.m., pharmacies, hotel and villas but remember these people are only allowed to maintain the place primarily. Storefront outlets we had said originally from eight to seven and they were supposed to be closed for the fourteen days however as I said earlier coming this Friday they will be open from eight to four so you can pay your bill only. Service of take out and drive through facility only at restaurant, diners, saloons and other similar establishments, provided take-out, drive-thru at those restaurants are locked down until April thirtieth. You cannot drive-thru to the restaurant and you cannot go to the restaurant to take out food. However, you notice what is missing from there – the restaurants can operate, cook the food and deliver it to people. From eight pm, convenience stores, food stores, supermarket, meat shop. So shop open dah morning eight and close four. Butchers, distributors and people who make soft drinks and stuff eight to four provided that distributors and factories of carbonated drinks – in other words then these are only open from eight to four but only if you the mek wata.”
Mechanics and garages are closed to the general public, unless providing services to essential sectors.
