Two COVID-19 Patients Have Recovered!
Belize has two fewer COVID-19 positive cases tonight. That’s the update from the Ministry of Health this evening. Before that bit of information was provided, Director of Health Services Doctor Marvin Manzanero was on the Ask the Experts webcast when he announced the first recovered case.
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
“We have one recovered patient so far. We can only say recovered after you have two negative samples. So, we only have one person that meets that definition and we are anticipating that throughout this week in the testing processes that continue, that we will be able to have and able to tell you of recovery cases as we move along. If you follow the little infographics that we publish after three p.m. every day, we had started that little portion and it says recovered zero and that will be updated today because the cut off time is at three p.m. Why would World O Meter report that two cases have healed in Belize? We don’t know where that data came from and I just vocalized it for you but in the report you get at three p.m., it will say only one recovered case because that is what we have up until now. If there are any recovered cases later in the day, that will be reflected in the report tomorrow.”
