S.O.E. Curfew Remains in Effect

Michael Peyrefitte

With the countrywide quarantine ending on Saturday, April twenty-fifth, movements of people will be permitted, but with restrictions. Businesses such as mechanic shops, banks, and certain government offices will reopen during specific hours. Pharmacies, convenience stores and markets will be allowed to function and open from eight in the morning to seven in the night.  Hardware stores can open for delivery between the same hours. The curfew for children, according to Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte, remains in place.

Michael Peyrefitte, Attorney General

“If you remember last week we had a curfew for children where if you are a child below the age of sixteen you can only be on the streets between eight in the morning and four in the afternoon. That will remain in place. So come four pm on Sunday if you are under sixteen you need ot be home. Come Sunday night eight o’clock the curfew is still in place. So from eight o’clock Sunday night to five in the morning Monday morning is a curfew. You are not allowed to be on the streets unless you are police, BDF, coast guard, customs, immigration, nurse or doctors who are on duty. Curfew does not change. We still have curfew. If you are out nine in the night and you are not a person who is suppose to be out nine in the night you are going to jail because the curfew remains in effect. The curfew is still in effect and the curfew will be in effect right up to next week Thursday when you go sleep. It will be in effect right until then.”
