Business and the Economy in the Caribbean Amid the COVID Pandemic

Women leaders across the globe have shown to be the most responsive in battling the COVID-19 pandemic in countries such as New Zealand, Belgium and Finland.  They have acted proactively in the decision making process and are better prepared in respect of medical gear for health workers and the population. Today, the CNN’s Christian Amanpour interviewed the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Motley. Motley is the bright star in the Caribbean and is also currently steering the CARICOM ship as the Caribbean navigates through the murky waters of the pandemic.  Motley took a number of questions from Amanpour on the situation in Barbados, but she also spoke on the economic and environmental crisis facing the Caribbean which is dependent on tourism.
