Bowen & Bowen Ltd. Donates 8 Ventilators to M.O.H.

So far in the news we have reported on the donation for school furniture and grants for students. Eight ventilators were also today handed over to the Ministry of Health by Bowen and Bowen Limited in Belize City today. The company earmarked half a million-dollar to help in the fight against COVID-19. The ventilators are the final items of the large donation which included ten thousand testing reagents, twenty hospital beds, five thousand surgical masks, one thousand P.P.E.s, and face shields.

“This was our part of helping the Belize healthcare system improve. And like we started the interview we hope they are never use because ventilators should be the last step in the prices but even if they are never used in COVID it is a vital part in any health care system and it helps us improve overall health care system country wide and going into the future.”

“We only had two non-invasive and these are eighth more, that is ten. We had at least eighteen ventilators, invasive ones. Majority of them were set up in Karl Heusner and we envision that the wing that has been developed at the Western Health Region is where we will have the invasive ventilator. The other ventilators will be split up between Corozal, Orange Walk Dangriga and San Ignacio.”

“It is big donation, half a million dollars is being donated to the Ministry of Health. You can see the ventilators, the P.P.E.s, bed, mattress that were given to us. It is a big help for us. We all know that every item is a demand out there so this is a tremendous help.”
