16 Healthcare Workers are COVID-19 Positive
Among the positive COVID-19 cases are sixteen healthcare workers. The number, according to Doctor Marvin Manzanero, is a growing cause for concern. The results over the past twenty-four hours include two more K.H.M.H. personnel, one nurse and another member of staff. Here’s more from DHS Manzanero on the healthcare workers who have tested positive for the virus.
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
“The other note we have, which is a little bit of concern and which I think will be a growing concern as we move is in terms of healthcare workers. Yesterday we had one nurse and one other person from Karl Heusner who has turned out positive. So, that is a total now of sixteen persons that are positive; eight of those within private sector; two of those from Karl Heusner and six of those are from public sector. One of those seems to have had a direct link to flu cases within the public setting. The other person would not have been necessarily working in a flu clinic which is a high exposure area but that is preliminary investigation that is still ongoing as to how that potential infection process went.”
