PM Barrow Optimistic with Decrease of Daily Confirmed Figures of COVID-19
Even though new measures are being imposed due to the number of cases, as a cock-eyed optimist, Prime Minister Dean Barrow today pointed out that the number of COVID-19 cases has been declining in terms of percentage. Barrow says that he doesn’t think that the public should be as worried as the total numbers suggest, but says that the public should not let its guard down.

“It strikes me that percentage wise that is trending downward. There may be a reversal depending on the further testing that is done. But you will forgive me for wanting to be a cock-eyed optimist where this sort of thing is concerned. And further more while Doctor Manza has made it clear to me that there is no way that we can say that all the positives arise from are ultimately traceable back to the original clusters it certainly seems that in the main that is precisely the situation. In order words there are those cases that we can’t explain in terms of any reference back to the original outbreak, outburst perhaps, the original clusters. But if indeed the majority of the cases that we continue to see are from contacts of contacts of contacts of the original contacts then I don’t think that we need to be as worried as the total numbers might want to suggest. Not that we can feel in the slightest degree comfortable.”
