“The eight patient that died also arrived at Northern Regional Hospital is a sixty-five-year-old male. This patient that died, the diagnosis was made until yesterday post-mortem. The eight patient also arrived at the Northern Health Region in respiratory distress and had not had previous interactions with the health system. The family then reported that he had been having flu-like and fever-like symptoms for five days but they had not accessed health services. As a matter of fact, the other three family members who are the immediate close contact were only swabbed after their dad had died. He died almost upon arrival. He was swabbed because of the high suspicion and diagnosis was made post mortem. The other is one patient from Corozal, Caledonia in his late fifties. He had been referred to Karl Huesner in the middle of last week. He was also a patient with respiratory distress and when he was initially sent to the hospital there was no immediate diagnosis. It was done after he arrived at Karl Huesner and he died in the early hours of this morning.”
