30 New COVID-19 Cases!
There are thirty more COVID-19 cases to report tonight. The Ministry of Health says that the new cases came out of a batch of over two hundred and fifty samples. If you saw the infographics earlier today, you would have noticed that the number of deaths increased by one, bringing the total to eleven. That case is Teresita “Tely” Cruz from San Felipe. We’ll tell you more about this latest confirmed death shortly, but before that, we take a closer look at the numbers diagnosed today. Majority of the cases are from San Pedro, followed by Orange Walk.
Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services
“Out of those thirty new cases, eleven are still in San Pedro. We can’t lose track of those numbers there. I know people are saying we are not doing testing. Some numbers in Orange Walk – eight and that is where our concerns and efforts are right now – not saying any other areas is not of concern. But that is where the numbers have started to increase – that is behind San Pedro. Out of a total of two hundred and sixty-six samples, six recovered.”
