Vital Statistics Unit Sanitized, Temporarily Closed

And on Queen Street in Belize City, the Vital Statistics Unit today was sanitized. The Attorney General’s Ministry informed this morning that the Unit is temporarily closed and services have been suspended for the sanitization of the office as we saw today. Two men donning P.P.E.s, facemasks, gloves, and equipped with disinfecting solutions entered the offices and sanitized the common sources and areas. A reason for the sanitization was not given but the ministry says that “it is necessary to safeguard our staff and clients.”   The AG Ministry says that the Vital Statistics Unit is set to tentatively re-open to the public on September third.
