Dolores Balderamos-Garcia Tests Positive for COVID-19
Dolores Balderamos-Garcia is the latest minister to test positive for COVID-19. The Belize Rural Central area representative made the announcement on Sunday saying, “I would also like to let you know that my family and I have tested positive for the COVID virus. We are feeling good, no serious difficulties, and we are following our doctor’s advice to stay at home until we have recovered fully. I am working from home.” Balderamos-Garcia is the fourth P.U.P. area representative to test positive for the virus. Prime Minister John Briceño, who is also positive, remains in self-isolation in his bedroom at his Orange Walk home. In the west, Jorge Espat says he has been release from the hospital, but will remain on bed rest. Meanwhile down south, Mike Espat of Toledo East has made a full recovery. He was officially sworn in today in Belmopan as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment.
