COVID-19 Deaths Increase

From Friday night to this evening, sixteen COVID-19 related deaths have been reported. Friday saw the largest number with ten deaths on record, seven males and three females. The Office of the Director of Health Services says that not all these persons died on Friday. On Saturday an additional three deaths were recorded, two females and one male. Three additional deaths were also reported on Sunday. The Ministry of Health and Wellness has logged a total of one hundred and forty-seven deaths- one hundred and one males and forty-six females. Over the past three days, two hundred and twenty-eight new cases were confirmed. Two thousand, four hundred and sixty-five cases remain active across the country. The Orange Walk District remains with the highest number of confirmed cases.
