OW Mayoral Candidate Says COVID-19 Regulations Effective

One man who agreed with Health and Wellness Minister is the P.U.P. Orange Walk Mayoral Candidate, Ladrick “Madbull” Sheppard. He says the current quarantine regulations have proven useful as the figures in both districts have been declining. Sheppard added that he has seen the positive effects of the regulations.

“To be honest with you it has been it has been great. If something is working in the town itself overall that the cases are going down, especially in Orange Walk. I know we have been getting a lot of bad names, some people go to different places and when they hear that you come from Orange Walk they don’t want to hear anymore. I know that the lockdown has changed a lot of that. Now the cases have been dramatically going down to the lowest level. I think the cases have been increasing in other parts of the districts. So the lock down is working so you applaud the Health Department for doing this. Some of us might not like it but even with the curfew at eight o’clock. You have to make sure you do your thing before time and then you go home. So I applaud, I have no problem and I think the people from Orange Walk have no problem. Some of them especially the vendors have been complaining to me. The lock down, we need the lock down. But let us see. Let the Health Department do their part and from there we are going to  move from there.”
