Dr. Marvin Manzanero’s Recovery Almost Complete

Doctor Marvin Manzanero was the face of the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but tonight the good doctor is still on the road to recovery.  Doctor Manzanero says that he considers his mental and emotional recovery almost complete.  He says that as someone who doesn’t really get sick, this has been a rather difficult recovery process. Physically, Doctor Manzanero says it has taken longer than expected. His sick leave applications expired on Friday, but he has applied for a couple of weeks more to complete some examinations, after which he says “return to my duties.” But what duties exactly? Doctor Melissa Diaz is acting Director of Health Services, and the government has suggested that she is the person best to lead the country’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Minister of Health and Wellness Michel Chebat has gone on record to say that “Actually, we look forward to his full recovery and for his reincorporation into the Ministry of Health and Wellness. And we do expect that he is going to be part of this team, helping to advice and to lead the country along the correct path.”
