Former PM Said Musa Asks U.S. President to Remove Designation and Lift Embargo on Cuba
Former Belizean Prime Minister Said Musa has written to U.S. President Joe Biden in respect to Cuba. Musa tells President Biden that removing the recent designation and lifting the embargo will be acts of justice benefiting Cuba, the U.S.A. and the region. Musa says that the recent action taken on January eleventh by former President Donald Trump of placing Cuba on its list of state sponsors of terrorism is a matter of grave concern. Musa added that the action comes on top of the six-decade-long blockade against Cuba’s people and government, which continues to cause immeasurable damage. Musa also tells Biden that Cuba is a nation of peace and promotes cooperation, not violence. He reminds Biden that Cuban has been a victim of terrorism and even so Cuban professionals have been in many nations fighting pandemics and disasters like Ebola AIDS and COVID-19. Musa is calling on all Belizeans and friends in the region to join him in supporting his position.
