San Cas Warehouse Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

Tonight there are sixty-seven active COVID-19 cases. The daily updates show that the numbers are increasing, albeit incrementally. Today there are nine new confirmed cases – two more than the seven identified in Thursday’s report.  On Thursday, Santiago Castillo Limited had to close their warehouse on Slaughterhouse Road in Belize City after it was confirmed that a number of employees tested positive for COVID-19. The company posted a notice on their Facebook page stating, “The San Cas Group of companies prioritizes the health and well-being of all our staff and customers. We inform the public that a few of our team members based at our main warehouse on Slaughter House Road in Belize City, has tested positive for COVID-19.” The notice goes on to say that they have sanitized the business place according to prescribed guidelines and are working closely with the Ministry of Health.
