Princess Casino Closes for Contact Tracing and Sanitization
Health officials were back at the Princess Casino this morning to oversee the full sanitization of the facility. Doctor Diaz-Musa also provided a breakdown of the symptoms being exhibited by those who tested positive for COVID-19 at the casino.

“Definitely recommendations that we have been able to make with the management team at Princess. All these things have been started already, the full sanitization, the closure of the casino and identifying close contacts and also routinely testing not only persons working at Princess Casino but working even at the Princess Hotel and other places. So that’s ongoing for today and tomorrow as well. Of the initial, from Saturday’s swabs, of the initial twenty-one persons, well it’s the initial nineteen persons from the Saturday swab, we only have five persons who have mild symptoms which is very good. We have one person with a little, I’d say mild to moderate symptoms and everyone else is completely asymptomatic. So, you know, it also helps us to know that more than likely the persons, we look at people who have been vaccinated in this cohort of cases as well and I take this opportunity as well to try to ask the general public out there and anybody especially working in casinos or working in areas that we consider higher risk of spread to get the vaccine as well.”
