Minister of Blue Economy Meets with Guatemalan Ambassador

Belize’s bilateral relations with Guatemala continue with the Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, Andre Perez meeting with the Ambassador of Guatemala to Belize, Erwin Rudy Archila Falla, and Minister-Counsellor Denis Ortiz in Belize City today.  According to a release from the Blue Economy ministry, Minister Perez and Ambassador Achila Falla discussed strengthening the economies of both countries through sustainable development and mutually beneficial partnerships. Minister Perez highlighted the Ministry of Blue Economy’s mission to “increase Belize’s gross domestic product through science-based management of the country’s aquatic resources with the principal aim of improving the livelihoods of all Belizeans.” He also said that instead of looking miles across the seas to build relationships, it is best that we start closer to home.  For his part Ambassador Archila Falla expressed his pleasure at visiting Belize once more saying, “It feels like home.”
