John McAfee Dead: Cold Case in Belize Remains

The story of the apparent suicide of controversial figure John McAfee in a Spanish jail today made international headlines. And while his death means he will never travel to the United States to face charges of tax evasion, it also means that a 2012 murder in Belize may remain unsolved. Although McAfee was found liable for the death of Gregory Faull in a civil suit brought by Faull’s family in Florida, McAfee was never charged in Belize, nor even questioned because he absconded to Guatemala before that could happen. The gruesome case of torture, murder and poisoned dogs in San Pedro caused the international media to descend on the island. News Five also had its team there on November twelfth, 2012 the day after Faull was killed.
