New Role Pending for Dr. Manzanero

Marvin Manzanero

The Minister of Health and Wellness also addressed the situation of Doctor Marvin Manzanero who, after being replaced as the functional Director of Health Services in late 2020, has yet to settle into an agreed-upon position.  While he still has the title of Director of Health Services, he is not carrying out the functions of the D.H.S.  But, according to the Minister of Health and Wellness, an agreement has been reached and a new office and role are being created for Doctor Manzanero.

“That possession, the duties of the Director of Health Services is being carried out by Dr. Morey. He is the Deputy Director of Health Services, and he is currently carrying out those duties.”

“And Dr. Marvin Manzanero?”

“He is still titled the Director.”

“Why?”

“That is a position we had agreed he would relinquish. We are talking to him about how we can fit him in another role. We are working with the Ministry of Public Service to create an office that he wishes to work at, which will be beneficial to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and so we are working with the Ministry of the Public service to see how we can create that office and put him in that position.”

“He would be in charge of what we call the international affairs of the ministry.”
