The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent was flown to Barbados for an MRI scan. His son, the Minister of Finance, has asked the assailant to hand themselves in for what he termed the deliberate “attempt on the Prime Minister.” He also called on the members of the Opposition and their supports to exercise restraint. The Government of Belize unequivocally condemns the physical assault on Doctor Ralph Gonsalves. Today, G.O.B. issued a statement condemning the attack, calling for those responsible to be brought to justice. G.O.B. also wished the prime minister a speedy recovery.
