Two More Positive Cases at Belize City Hall
The Central Health Region has identified two more positive cases of COVID-19 among employees at the Belize City Council. This brings the total number of positive cases at City Hall to six, including Mayor Bernard Wagner. This afternoon, Deputy Regional Health Manager, Doctor Melissa Diaz-Musa told News Five that while they have detected these six cases, they are awaiting the results of tests that have been conducted on other members of the staff. Doctor Musa says City Hall has closed its entire third floor until further notice. Mayor Wagner tested positive soon after returning from vacation at the end of July, but his suspicion was that he had contracted the virus upon doing business in Belize since he had tested negative upon his arrival back in the country.
