Student Vaccinations Begin on August twenty-third

Vaccinations for minors from ages twelve to seventeen are to commence on Monday.  Parents accompanying their children to the various vaccinations centers across the country will have to submit a consent form in order for their kids to get their COVID jabs.  According to Chief Executive Officer Dian Maheia, a schedule will be released so that parents will know where to take their children.  C.E.O Maheia also says that the vaccines are not limited to students.

“The vaccine rollout will begin on Monday, on the twenty-third, the Ministry of Health and the District Education Centers are collaborating on schedules, so it will actually begin across the country in different places.  Schedules will be shared, okay.  I don’t know all the schedules for all the districts right off but that is what’s being worked on right now.  So schools are going to be, the schedules are going to be coordinated with the schools.  So across the country, starting on Monday, students from twelve to seventeen, and even out-of-school persons, just to clarify, whoever it is.  Starting on Monday, from twelve to seventeen there’s going to be public announcements to know where people can go.  There will be different locations on different days, different schools will be used as vaccine sites, it’s not every school that is going to be used that’s going to be coordinated for schools who have the facilities.  The consent forms are going to be shared and some schools have already started to share them.  Parents are going to need to sign a consent form for their child.”
