A Thousand Vaccinated in One Day in Belize City
It seems the vaccination drive has picked up speed, with the turnout at the various sites in Belize City extremely high. News Five received reports that in Belize City, more than one thousand vaccinations were administered today. At Swift Hall on Vernon Street, many people who were waiting in line to receive their shot this morning had to return in the evening. Deputy Regional Health Manager for the Central Health Region, Doctor Melissa Diaz-Musa, told News Five today that healthcare personnel was administering four different vaccines at Swift Hall. She says today’s turnout in the City has given healthcare personnel encouragement for days to follow, especially in light of the high number of new COVID infections that are reported daily.
