GOB Opens Additional COVID-19 Testing Centers in Belize City and Belmopan
If you have not gotten vaccinated and have been wondering how you will afford to take COVID tests so you can negative results at your work or to access public buildings? Well you will be relieved to know there are now two new testing centers that will be offering free tests. Yes, that is right, at no cost. The Ministry of Health and Wellness announced today it has established drive thru and walk-in COVID-19 testing at the Civic Center in Belize City and the Civic Center in Belmopan. These will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. According to MOHW, these testing sites are for individuals who are asymptomatic and require a negative COVID-19 test for their employer or to access government buildings. Those who have been in close contact with positive COVID-19 cases, are planning to travel, or are symptomatic will continue to access testing services at the Central Health Region or Western Regional Hospital.
