Result of No Movement Sundays Won’t Be Apparent Until Next Week

Whether or not the two recent No Movement Sundays had an impact on COVID-19 numbers will not be known for a few more days.  According to Dr. Hidalgo, this is due to the incubation period.

“Most of the things we are seeing with COVID, and especially the strategies, is a comprehensive strategies that we need to implement not suddenly. Basically, we go up step by step. Of course, we know that lockdown is not recommended anymore. But again, sometime we need to do that as a blank measure to try and control the spread of the virus. What we did on Sunday, we are not expecting to see changes this week. Whatever we have on cases incubating last week, we will see this week. Because of the incubation period, we will see the changes probably by the end of the week or the beginning of next week.”
