29 Active COVID Hospitalizations at the K.H.M.H.; 11 Critical
The K.H.M.H. has been in emergency mode for a few months now as the country continues the fight through its third wave of the pandemic. While the numbers are not the highest experienced so far, Doctor Andre Sosa, the Chair of the Board of Governors of the K.H.M.H.A. says that there are twenty-seven hospitalizations at this time. He breaks down the figures.
Dr. Andre Sosa, Chair, Board of Governors, K.H.M.H.
“It’s been sixteen months perhaps. Our staff has gained invaluable experience in all these many months. Certainly it is taxing, it is exhausting, but they are committed to what they do. Today, we have twenty-nine patients admitted in the COVID-19 and P.U.I. Wards of whom eleven are critical, ten are stable. And the P.U.I.’s, the persons under investigations, are stable as well. This isn’t the highest number we’ve ever reached. We’ve reached as high as thirty-six, thirty-seven persons so I think we might call this a little less demanding, but certainly it is still a difficult situation.”
