Pharmacists Association of Belize Wants
Pharmacists are also frontline workers in the healthcare system and Villanueva-Pott wants to ensure that the association has a voice at the table.
Seleny Villanueva-Pott, President, Pharmacists Association of Belize
“We want to have a better working relationship with the Ministry of Health. We know in the past, we have seen ongoing issues about the integrity of medication and some people have questioned how good the medication are. We believe that as pharmacists, we are better prepared and we wanna have a stance and a voice in the deciding what some of the requirements are since that is specifically what we study. Other things that we want to do is also have a better rapport with the public in terms of different diseases, different condition, COVID-19 for example. There’s a lot we could do and we want to begin to step up to that role.”
