COVID Numbers Continue on Downward Trend

While across the country has been buzzing with activity, the COVID-19 pandemic is still a very live issue and continues to affect persons with underlying conditions. But overall, as expected, the number of cases has decreased and today, Minister of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard gave an update on the COVID-19 status in Belize.

“We are glad that the number has been keeping going down. I had already mentioned before that by the end of March, we would have seen us going down to pre-omicron levels. We are at that stage and we are hoping that this could remain this way.  I just want to keep on encouraging others, for those who have not yet been vaccinated to go out and get vaccinated. The more people vaccinate, the better it is for us as a country.”
