Caribbean Workshop Looks at Crisis Management Strategies

The Caribbean business workshop also looks at new strategies as business owners work to stay relevant in a changing economic environment. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many companies to realise the importance of going digital and having a strategy for reputation marketing online.

“Crisis management plan, a crisis response plan to mitigate as part of the business model to mitigate any threats that can occur to your business or to you as an individual. It has to be comprehensive, it has to involve all persons on your team. So you create a team to manage your communication in the event of a crisis. I have seen during the pandemic how much companies did not have a communication plan in place. So something happens and we just react emotionally. And those who had a plan, it is not revised so we just leave it on the shelf collecting dust and that’s it. What we encourage persons to do is to create a culture that is crisis ready. With that means you involve all staff from the leader down to the lowest person in your organization – everybody has the same mindset, the same thinking, we are all on the same page.”

The workshop is online on April ninth from two p.m. to four p.m. Trinidad time.  You can register online at www.debbiejollie.com.
