U.S. Military Brings Medical Care to Orange Walk District

As many as eight hundred and seventy-nine residents of Orange Walk District are benefiting from medical care provided by the United States Southern Command’s Joint Task Force.  At the conclusion of Trade Winds 2022, a medical team also completed a three-day outreach where they partnered with local N.G.O.s to provide courses on preventative medicine, pediatrics, optometry and dental services. The sessions were held in Carmelita, as well as Santa Marta villages. JTF-Bravo partnered with the Belize Council for the Visually Impaired to bring the community of Carmelita optometric care and glasses.
