Queen’s Funeral will Reflect a Personal Touch
Earlier in our newscast, we told you about a letter written to the Ministry of Labor in which the business community requested that the upcoming public and bank holiday in honor of Queen Elizabeth the second, on the day of her funeral, be canceled. It was a decision taken on the home front to proceed with granting employees the day off. In the UK today, thousands continue to mourn the passing of the monarch. According to palace aides at Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth the Second made personal additions to plans for her funeral day. The state funeral at Westminster Abbey on September nineteenth is likely to be one of the biggest single ceremonial events staged in Britain since World War Two. The order of service, with its choice of music and readings, is expected to reflect more of the Queen’s personal choices for the funeral. Among those who have confirmed their attendance at the state funeral are U.S President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron. Representing Belize is Governor General Froyla Tzalam, who departed for London earlier today.
