K.H.M.H. C.E.O. says “no treatment protocol breached,” in Attending to Accident Victim
On Wednesday night we showed you an interview with a relative of Aaliyah Marokin, the twenty-year-old Corozal student who was involved in a tragic road traffic accident on Tuesday evening. In that interview, the relative informed us that Marokin was rushed from the Northern Regional Hospital and then to the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition. The family was reportedly under the impression that the accident victim was in need of a life-saving surgery and that the operation would be carried out in Belize City. However, according to the family member, when the sixth form student arrived at the K.H.M.H. she was bandaged, given morphine, and informed that the she would be placed on a waiting list. Fearing that her condition would worsen, that relative came to us seeking answers. Well, we reached out to the C.E.O. at K.H.M.H., Chandra Cansino who told us via text message “no treatment protocol was breached and the patient and her father were fully engaged in the discussion with the physician.”
