Hurricane Ian Relief Efforts from Belize to Cuba
A twenty-foot container with hurricane relief supplies is preparing to leave the Port of Belize en route to Havana Cuba. The Association of Solidarity for Cuba has been engaged in fundraising efforts over the past couple of months on behalf of those affected by Hurricane Ian in Cuba. Those efforts have yielded generous donations of food, clothing, building materials and medicines all collected from across Belize. A release from the association says the container will be handed over to the Government of Cuba for distribution to those most affected by Hurricane Ian, which caused significant damage, particularly in the province of Pinar Del Rio. The association says it sends its gratitude to all those who donated supplies and money to this relief effort.
