Toledo Alcaldes’ Association Changes Executive

The Toledo Alcaldes’ Association swore in a new executive over the weekend at a ceremony in Blue Creek. During the handover ceremony, the former executive transferred authority and knowledge to the new executive. Seventy-three out of seventy-eight alcaldes and deputy alcaldes took over roles within the Maya governance system. Andres Kus of San Miguel Village is the new president of the Toledo Alcaldes’ Association Executive Council; and executive members are Raymundo Sho of Santa Cruz Village, Diego Oh, Domingo Bah, Brijilio Garcia , Marcelino Pop, and Andres Ishim have been elected to serve as executive members.
