Cultural and Foreign Affairs Bilateral Agreements Signed During Cuban President’s Visit
One of the key moments during the official State Visit of the President of the Republic of Cuba on Sunday was the signing of two cooperation agreements between the Governments of Cuba and Belize. One of those agreements is focused on cultural cooperation. The agreement, signed by Francis Fonseca, the Minister of Culture, and Bruno Rodriquez, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, outlines ten areas of cooperation. The agreement promotes the exchange of artists and artistic groups; the exchange of commercial, promotional, and cultural heritage exhibitions, participation of artists and personalities in relevant festivals and cultural events; recognition of the value of festivals in the promotion of awareness across cultures, interest in the signing of exchange and cooperation agreements on copyrights, the exchange of experience in literary publications and books and the exchange of specialized documentation and artistic and technical personnel for the holding of workshops, seminars, and conferences on cinema and audio-visual media.
