C.E.O of K.H.M.H Assures That Anecdotes Won’t Be Filed on Employees’ Records

Chandra Nisbet-Cansino

As we just reported, the C.E.O. of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Chandra Nisbet-Cansino, said that she informed the K.H.M.H Workers’ Union President, Andrew Baird, that the letters served to union members regarding their dress code won’t be placed on their official records. This evening, she explained that information may not have reached all heads of departments right after her meeting with Baird. This was because letters were still sent to some employees.

“Apparently afterwards, some persons still received anecdotes and Mr Baird called me after the meeting and told me. I said don’t worry. I already gave you my word that those anecdotes would not go on the personal files. So that is essentially what happened and that still applies up until today.”

“Are people still getting anecdotes at this time?”

Chandra Nisbet-Cansino

“At this time, I don’t know. I can’t say for sure because I, a little while ago, had a board meeting, so I’m not sure but if they did, I have already given my word that those anecdotes will not go on the P files and that still stands.”

“There was a Board meeting this morning. Can you comment on that?”

Chandra Nisbet-Cansino

“There was a Board meeting. I can’t say too much because it was primarily to discuss the current issue at hand. The president of the union sits on the board. There were discussions about going forward and he will go back to his executive and his membership again with a view to resolve the issue and hopefully come up with a solution sooner rather than later so we’re waiting to see what result that will yield. We’ve addressed every single concern that has been brought to us so we hope that by having done that, the union will be able to appreciate that there is nothing that they have brought to us that we haven’t at least tried to address. Like I said, some fixes are short-term and some are long-term so we look forward to positive results again.”
