Father of the Nation hospitalized after falling from hammock

George Price

George Price

He celebrated his ninety-first birthday only last Friday, and this year there was no public appearance to mark the occasion, mostly because, as he put it, the recession does not lend to a party. Despite his age, George Price, the Father of the nation, can frequently be seen taking his walk between his home and the Holy Redeemer Cathedral. Lately, Price has been spending time working on his biography to be published in the months to come. But last Saturday afternoon, the senior statesman reportedly suffered a setback when he fell from a hammock at his Pickstock home.  Price hit his knee and was immediately transported to the Belize Healthcare Partners where he is undergoing a battery of tests. According to family members, the outcome of the tests will be known in the next few days. It is expected that he will be released from the hospital later this week.

Happy Birthday Right Hon. G.C. Price .
Indeed thank you for your dedication to our beautiful little country. I can only hope and pray that the Lord will put someone just like you in power again. It is disheartening to see how little they care for our country and its people. Sadly it has gone unnoticed. I am proud to be a Belizean , I love Belize dearly but unfortunately I don’t think Belize can love anyone right now.
I do pray for you and hope that you are restored to health very soon.

    God Bless you
