U.S. fugitive ordered to be deported

Martin Petrella

Martin Petrella

He was found living in the Lord’s Bank Area last week. And while he was not charged criminally for any wrong doings in the country, this morning Magistrate Edd P. Usher signed the expulsion of fifty-three year old U.S. national, Martin Petrella. Petrella was brought before the court in the company of Senior Immigration Personnel Horace Guzman and other officials. Petrella is deemed a prohibited immigrant and while the one thousand dollar fine for this offence was waived by the Immigration Department, early on Tuesday, Petrella will be placed on a flight back home. Ladyville Police made the discovery last week Thursday, January twenty-first, while doing routine checks in the area. After he was found, police officials made a call to U.S. authorities and that was when they found out that Petrella was wanted in the state of Colorado. Petrella’s immigration status reveals that he left Colorado on January eighth, 2008 and came to Belize on February eighth, 2008, via Mexico.  He was on parole after serving three years for burglary in 2008.
