DPP to recall witnesses in Christopher Galvez murder

Twenty-three year old Christopher Galvez was murdered on December twenty second. The family claims it has encountered roadblocks of alleged corruption and interference on the road to finding justice for the victim. Yolanda Schakron, his aunt, has been doing her own investigation and has found a witness to the crime. While at the march, protesting for a better conviction rate, Schakron said that the Director of Public Prosecutions is moving forward with the case.

“The DPP told me that they were going to be calling back the witnesses that were at the boatyard on the night that Christopher was murdered. I called mister Segura on Friday to ask him you know, have they started to do that. He told me he would speak to the DPP and he would call me back. I haven’t heard from him yet. I intend to give him a call tomorrow because the DPP told me they have to bring back the witness because there are conflicting stories with the eyewitness that came forward. So I’m expecting to hear from them very soon.”
