Armed burglar caught in the home of banker
There were two burglaries in communities along the Northern Highway on Tuesday, and in one incident the culprit was caught at the scene. Police on patrol in the Lord’s Bank area, detected the first break-in at eleven o’clock in the morning when they heard a security alarm at the home of Dorian Westby. They searched the house and found the thief, who has been identified as Edwardo Reyes, hiding inside a closet in Westby’s bedroom with a knife in his hand. Nothing was taken from the house and Reyes was detained pending charges of Aggravated Burglary. Westby, a banking officer at the Belize City branch of Atlantic Bank, was not at home at the time of the burglary. His wife, Diane, the Principal of Ladyville Technical High school was the first to learn of the incident and was still traumatized when we contacted her this evening.
The other burglary took place in the Lake Garden area of Ladyville, but the victim was not as lucky as the Westby’s. Forty-one year old Lennox Spence came home from work to find that his house had been broken into and assortment of items was stolen. The value of the items has not yet been determined and the cops have no suspects so far. Spence, who is employed as a building technician says the break in occurred between seven a.m. and six-forty-five while he was at work.

Crime, crime and more crime. Mrs Coombs is starting to ruffle a lot of feathers because of her son Jason, who was cold bloodedly murdered. She was on abc and nbc news in florida.
I knew Jason very well from grade school days “St Joseph” and we had been friends since. I was shock to hear he was executed for no reason, Jason Coombs was not involved in any kind of shady dealings or any underworld whatever with anybody, he was one of the most homble person I knew, I hope they find his killer.
I heard the FBI offered to help belize on this case but they refuse, if its true why? Belize, you need all the help you can get.
