Meanwhile for the stabbing murder of Nigerian security guard, Kaluru Oloungududu early Monday morning, cops have brought a joint charge of murder against three men, two of who were his work colleagues.  They are twenty five year old Jamal Jackson, nineteen year old Daniel Myvette and twenty-one year old Kareem Stevens who was once employed by Minister Anthony “Boots” Martinez.  Oloungududu had been working as a security guard at the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel for the past five months.  Jackson worked in the kitchen while Myvette also worked as a security guard.  Police believe it was Myvette, who had a conflict with Oloungududu that was behind the killing.

“We worked through a tip and that’s what led us to this investigation and the other things that we have recovered pertaining to that investigation likewise. We have one person that works at the Biltmore that is being charged – no two, two persons.  Two employees at the Biltmore have been charged in connection with the Nigerian murder.”

“Information to Channel Five is that there was a plan or a plot to commit and robbery and police had intelligence on it and did not act on it.  So a policeman who was supposed to go and investigate that, what’s being done with that right now.  Will he be questioned for neglect of duty?”

Sinquest Martinez

“I’m not at this present moment to talk about that because the investigation still continuing pertaining to the Nigerian homicide.  Pertaining to what you have gathered, I will not rebut what you have said.  We consulted with the DPP office and that is the reason why we brought charges.  It’s not a statistical arrest.”

The case of the three accused was adjourned for March nineteenth.

The time has come to vehimentlly stand against the killings of innocent people in our land, what image are we painting to the global community, that foreigners are not save in our land?, that killing is brutal and our government need to work with the government of Nigeria to bring the culpits to book. i also think capital purnishment will be the best way to stop the crimes in our nation, mire imprisonment is not enough, see Singapor for example, even the American( US citizen) that broke the law was squarelly purnished. people involve in crimes have come to see the Belize prison as a save heaven for them, were they can get free food and shelter. Also one other Nigerian in that company was sacked after the crime, that is victimization, just as we Belizeans will like to be protected in countries like Nigeria if we find ourselves there, so also the right of the citizens of Nigeria and other nationals among us must be protected, seeing that this country(Nigeria) always send foreign aids(nurses, doctors and other proffessionals)to us, we ought to receprocate in a good manner, because from what i have studied about Nigeria from the internet and other sources, is a country we can benefit from so much, knowing that we all came from Africa, particularlly west Africa and may be Nigeria from the Slave trade and others, The nation of Nigeria is only at the place where it is today because of bad governance, but a rich nation if it’s resources are well accounted for by it’s leader and citizens, well in a nut am calling on all well meaning Belizeans to rise up and lets build a nation void of evil and segregation against foreigners, lets learn from Singerpore, small too but doing great, because they choose to do it, so we can do it too. God bless Belize and God us all
