A distraught mother and her sixteen year old daughter reported to police that on February seventh two women stormed their home and beat the minor brutally. Two sisters, Shantel and Sherae Robateau, have been named as the culprits and while they may have won that fight, the battle is now before the courts. Twenty-six year old Sherae was charged on February eighth with Burglary and Harm, while her sister was in hiding. But the cops have caught up with twenty year old Shantel and she was in the hot seat today as Magistrate Sharon Frazer read her the same charges. Both sisters pleaded not guilty and are now out on bail of three thousand dollars each until their next appearance on March thirty-first. Shantel and Sherae allegedly stalked their prey, the sixteen year old girl, as she walked to her home at the corner of Sittee and Nargusta Streets. Knowing they were trailing her, the minor tried to seek refuge inside the house, but was followed and brutally attacked in front of her mother, Sharlene Foster. Since the incident, the teen has been complaining of pain in her head.

TEN YEARS PROBATION FOR A FELONIOUS CRIME ON A MINOR. IF EITHER OF THE ADULTS STRIKES ANOTHER PERSON DURING THE NEXT TEN YEARS THEY SHOULD GO TO PRISON FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS. NO QUESTION. DON’T GIVE THEM JUST A FINE AND LET THEM WALK AWAY LAUGHING. WHAT THEY DID IS NOTHING TO CROW ABOUT. THE PARENT OF THE MINOR CHILD, THE MOTHER SHOULD THEN FILE A CIVIL LAW SUIT AGAINST EACH ADULT FEMALE FOR ENTERING HER HOME AND HURTING HER CHILD.

I am shocked to hear about the Robateau sisters. The Robateau family that I know and grow up around would have never done that. Unfortunately, I don’t know the younger generation. Unless the sisters are just plain crazy there is more to this story than meet the eye. Just for them being bold enough to go into someone else’s house and beat up a minor they should definitely be punished.

All of us people need to learn how to work through difficulties without violence. It is one of the very things destroying our world. We must all set good examples and think before we react.

My mother use to say to me when I was younger, if you know that you did right thing why did you run. Shantel knew in her heart that she did not do the right, that’s why she went into hiding. These young women need to find something like work to occupy thier minds; or some kind of craft that will help them uplift themselves. HOW BOLD they are to beat this teenager in front of her mother in her own home. the justice system really need to tighen up on these types of crime. They need to be made example of; through the BOOK at them for not having any sense of pride for themselves and their family. I’m hoping that they were not brought up that way by their parents; and I hope that they don’t have any children; because this is really not a good example for any child at all. People in Belize are always talking about how things are hard, expensive, no work; where do they find the money to pay bail, these thousands of dollars. that makes me wonder. These two, I can’t even call them ladies, hoodlum need to be thought a lesson; that way they have the respect the should have for others. LOCK THEM UP, GET THEM OFF THE STREETS.

i know there have always been female offenders in belize, but it seems that the frequency and boldest of their crimes has increased in recent years. our goverment is a total waste of time,(okay, total might b too strong a description) there are too many good and honest belizeans out there.

we need to stop tolerating this total disrespect on the part of our leaders and take matters into our own hands or at the least be more aggressive in calling for our leaders to do their jobs
