Safiyyah has weekend activities from the north, south, west and the city

safiyyah09The month of love officially comes to an end this weekend but there’s still a lot to do with your loved ones. This event-filled weekend promises lots of places to visit and things to do. Here’s your favourite girl on Friday, Safiyyah.

Hey! I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize?

If you’ve been craving Reggaeton music then tonight you can head up to San Ignacio and check out the Reggaeton concert happening inside the Norman Broaster Stadium. This concert will feature DJ flex performing his hits like “Baby Te Queiro” and others. There will also be performances by Supa G and other Belizean artist. The doors will open at 7pm.

Here in Belize City tonight, French Kiss will be having something extra special for the Ladies. It’ll be a Blackberry versus Milk Chocolate competition. Remember this is only for the ladies and will run from 10pm to midnight. After midnight the men can enter to party the night away.

On Saturday there will be plenty of activities that you can enjoy all over the country.  Up north the Paraiso government school in Corozal will be having their annual school fair. This fair will be held at the Paraiso Central Park and will run from 4pm to 1am. There will be lots of food and drinks on sale as well as many games for you to enjoy.  They will be having a dance, beginning at 8pm that you can enjoy as well.

Out west on Saturday, Sacred Heart College will be having a business expo on their school campus. This expo will begin at 10am. There will be lots of food and drinks as well as games and even a disco. There will also be lots of businesses there with stalls where you can find great deals and promotions. You can find companies like Smart, Grace Kennedy, Running W meats and many more companies with specials going on there. If that’s not enough to entice you, they’ll even have entertainment.

On Saturday night out west in Belmopan there will be a Beer Fest competition held at the El Rancho Restaurant and Bar. If you head up there you’ll get the chance to get in on some great giveaways. Music will be provided by Robin, Leo and Fada Smith. Doors will open at 9pm.

Another party in Belmopan will be the grand opening of Twilight Lounge formally known as Puccines. This huge bash will feature Belizean Movements, DJ Jaggo and DJ Jessie. This party will not only be a grand opening but also a celebration of GKA’s Birthday. There will be lots of giveaways. So if you’re in the area, check it out.

Also out west on Saturday night you can head over to the Storks Club in San Ignacio for their 3rd edition of an 80’s night party. There will be lots of giveaways and music will be provided by DJ Ben and DJ Brannon. Remember that the Storks club is located inside the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.

All the way down south in PG, there will be a big birthday bash inside PG Sports Bar. This party will be held for none other than DJ Stone. Music will be provided by Stone Jam coming all the way from here in Belize City. There will be lots of giveaways.

Also down south, another Birthday bash will be held but this one will be in Dangriga Town. This is the 5th annual birthday bash being held for Chico Ramos on Why Not Island. This birthday party will feature performances from the youth connection band, reckless, continental can and Supa G. It will run from 10pm to 6am. And in case you get hungry during your partying food will be on sale.

And here in Belize City on Saturday night you can head over to the Bliss for some great entertainment. On Saturday at 7:30 pm the 2nd annual Ms African Queen Pageant will be held. Now you know this show promises to be quite entertaining. There are having this shoe in celebration of Black History Month and they are inviting all who attend to come out in their traditional cultural attire. Whatever culture you are, you can go out and represent your culture plus enjoy a great show.

Speaking of cultural attire, on Sunday there will be an East Indian cultural fair being held in Corozal. They will be having lots of entertainment, displays and of course east Indian cuisine. This festival will be held at the Round House Area in Corozal Bay. The fair will run from 10am to 6pm. So if you always wanted to learn a little more about the East Indian Culture, now is your chance.

Well that’s all I have for now. Have a terrific weekend. Bye!

You forgot to mention that DJ Flex also had a show in San Pedro which by they way went excellent. The opening of the show was great and was done by(in this order): Melodia of San Pedro, Franxel y Chami-Ka feat One Carlos (all of Las Flores/San Martin-Belmopan area), DNA’s Nestor, David and crew of San Pedro and Mr. Program. Ask about it, great performance by everyone. Belize has a lot of talent and we only hope these international artist notice our talent and not only just take our money and leave.
