Colin Searle charged for possession of fake bank cheque

A former island manager finds himself in trouble with the law tonight after he was slapped with two counts of Possession of False Documents. Sandhill resident, twenty three year old Colin John Searle was allegedly busted with a false Belize driver’s license and a false Belize Bank cheque belonging to the government. Searle, a former resident of San Pedro Town and Sales and Marketing personnel of Intelligent Solutions is accused of having the blank Belize Bank cheque on February eleventh, the same day he is alleged to have had the forged driver’s license. Magistrate Edd Usher offered Searle bail of two thousand five hundred dollars, which by four this evening he was unable to meet. Searle made the news on January eighth of this year when he and another man were busted inside a car at a checkpoint with over three pounds of weed. Searle pleaded guilty to that charge when he appeared before Magistrate Sharon Frazer and because at the time he was a first time offender for drug trafficking he escaped a three year jail term and was fined ten thousand dollars. Searle still has until March thirty first to pay the fine. He is due back before the courts on April sixth.
