Convicted US level 3 predator found in Belize

It seems that Belize has become the hideout for American fugitives on the run from the law. On Saturday Channel Five aired an episode of America’s Most Wanted in which a primary school student Cree Young, brought a convicted child molester, Robert Snyder to justice. Snyder failed to register as a sex offender and found his way to Belize and taught chess at four local primary schools. Even after the AMW episode on Snyder was being recorded, Patrick Brown, a Jamaican American who was wanted for murder in the U.S. was caught in Punta Gorda. And there is one more name to add to the list of U.S. fugitives caught in Belize. This time it’s another child molester, who is listed as having a history of sexual contact with males ranging in age from twelve to fifteen years. According to U.S. media reports, a Minnesota resident, seventy-one year old Robert Carl Saterdalen, is being held in Belize City, for possession of child pornography and for suspected sexual assault on minors. Saterdalen is charged in Olmsted County for being a predatory offender who knowingly violates state registration requirements. It is alarming because Saterdalen is listed as a Level three sex offender, which makes him considered at highest risk to re-offend. Though he completed his sentence, he failed to register a change of address and to register as a predatory offender mandated by Minnesota Statutes. According to one U.S. report, Saterdalen gave a statement to the police department in which he acknowledged he bought a house in Belize City about six years ago. It is unknown what acts he may have committed during the winter months he spent in Belize. One U.S. report goes on to say that Olmsted County Detective, Dave Rikhus, requested incident reports from Belize officials, but they have not received any. News Five contacted Acting Police Press Officer Bart Jones this afternoon and he said that Saterdalen was detained by the police department based on a complaint. Jones could not say if the complaint was related to any incident involving a male minor. However, the good news is that Saterdalen was deported the United States on Saturday.
I hope that the Belize police are invistigating this molester time in belize, it seem no one is really protecting the kids, shame. deporting him is not the only answer here.

Look how many criminals have come out of the woodwork in recent months. Sadly, tourism is down but this is the type of visitor we’re attracting.
What you Belizean at home need to do is keep an eye out for those American below the retirement age who is living in Belize…think about it, what 25 or 35 or 45 or even 55 year old want to go live in Belize and work (most people go to Belize to enjoy their retirement) not to work. Start getting suspicious about those white men who claims they are retired. They are usually not retired (just running from the justice department in America.)

What a pig! The Belizean people need to stand up for their rights and demand a better judicial system and police department. It is PATHETIC how many murderers, rapists, child molesters, thieves and corrupt politicians go free because the judicial system is SOOOOO broken here. Well am not ashamed to say it any more I was molested by this child preditor when I was 14 year old it has been 8 years now since this happen I had try to get assistants for police and lawyer they all areaa afraid to deal with the matter I have been suffering for depression ever since I cut myself to clam me down I even try to kill myself too.I even too medication to keep me clam it a pain living every day is not worth living am the only boy who talk and still no justice came if it.police did not did a good investigation I was put under rader little of people know what happen to me I really hope Ican jjust get justice for what happen to me.
